Bath Open 2006
The first Bath Open, held on Sunday 20th August was a great success.
The rain held off (we were not piste upon) and participants enjoyed a relaxed, friendly day.
The winners were family team The Cool Boulers. Normally Mum isn't invited to play with Dad and son George - but together they were literally a winning combination. They'd better reserve her for future games or she'll be poached by another team!
Runners up were The Good, The Bad,
and The Ugly. We didn't manage to
work out which one was good but it's
fair to say that none of them are bad.
Schwartz Emirates were gutted at not
making the final but that'll teach them for drinking from 10am (how they can play so well having put away so much is one of lifes mysteries). And The Malingerers just failed to get through to the final as well but perhaps that's what you get for calling yourselves The Malingerers...
Winners of the Plate were Genco who beat BLB Solicitors.
Many thanks for Pritchards Estate Agents who sponsored the day and to Graham who masterminded the game play.
Also huge thanks to the Harington Club who let use their facilities before, during and after the game, and to Tilleys who provided the lunch.
And finally thanks to ECT Recycling and the Council for providing us with recycling and rubbish bins for the day.
